PSLD/3 NET92 Line Driver * PSLD/3I Intelligent NET92 Driver

98X PSLDThe 98X PSLD is the unit which enables the host computer to manage a NET92 network. PSLD can be driven by the PC using TMCLIB or TMCDLL routines supplied by TMC itself for use in Win16 and Win32 environments.
An expansion module called PollEngine, which is equipped with a microprocessor and a memory with backup battery and clock, can be installed on a PSLD/3, which then becomes a PSLD/3I. The PSLD/3I can autonomously carry out all the polling necessary to run the network and can manage the low level NET92 communication protocol, thereby relieving the host computer of the task. Furthermore, it allows any computer with an RS232 port to function as a NET92 controller/host. An internal clock in the PollEngine can attribute a time and date to every message received.

  • Supplies power to the terminals. The number of terminals depends on the model of the driver, the peripheral devices connected and the distances involved.
  • It is equipped with two RS485/NET92 optoinsulated data lines: each one can bear up to 31 MAX, PROX, TRAX, or IOX terminals.
  • Using internal jumpers it can be configured as a repeater in order to create a new NET92 network branch or extension, there by increasing the number of terminals you can connect, up to a maximum of 254.
  • Offers highly flexible cabling possibilities.
  • It can function in real time or in "buffer" mode.Is provided with effective filtering insulation and earthing.
  • Fast discharge circuits on the data lines to protect them from possible electrical charges.
