PROXFinger
The
simplest and safest "1-to-many" fingerprint identification system
Deal no longer with badges that can be lost, or copied or
become unreadable with age.
PROXFinger
is the result of adding to a PROX+ thefinger print reading capability provided
by theFingerScan Kit. This combination makes you surethat a certain user code
recorded in the passageslog belongs to the same user who entered fromthe associated
gate.
The PROX+ terminals must be equipped with aPCMCIA memory card running
a special C program. Each terminal can drive up to six fingerprint-scanningunits
(FingerScan) through a 485 network. The use of RS485 allows scanning units to bemounted
even at hundreds of meters from thecontrolling PROX+ terminal.
STORING
FINGERPRINT
For a fingerprint to be recognized, it must
bepreviously scanned storing the resulting image, associated to a user code, in
the FingerScanmemory. The recording process is a triple scanand needs to be performed
only once in one ofthe scanning units of the system. The imageobtained can be
downloaded and transmitted tothe other FingerScan units where that user has tobe
recognized.

"1-to-many"
IDENTIFICATION
Each fingerprint is recognized in a
few secondswith a false acceptance ratio lower than 0,000001%.No fingerprint image
is transmitted over the RS485network because the match is performed insideeach
scanning unit where the authorizedfingerprints are stored. Only the associated
usercode is transmitted to the PROX+ terminal thattreats it like a code read from
a standard magneticbadge. PROX+ functions are available: verifyingtime zones,
applying all the programmed accesscriteria, requesting PIN, opening a relay, recordingthe
code and so on.
Up to ten fingerprint images can be
associated to each user code and up to 1800 images can be stored in a single FingerScan.

REMOTE
CONTROL
The PROX+ terminal can be controlled by a
PC through an Ethernet LAN or an RS232 port. It is possible to:
